What and how your personal data is collected
Your personal information is collected each time you are in contact with us. For example:
When you reach out to us via any of our communication platforms such as the website, Facebook, YouTube.

SC may use your personal information for the following purposes:
To inform you of SC news, events, activities, and services running at SC.
To enable you to engage with the SC community and connect groups and to participate in church events and activities.
To register you for events at your request.
To assist in improving SC services, events, activities and communications for the church community and visitors.
To provide pastoral care.
To maintain our financial accounts and records, including the processing of gift aid, donations, payments and expense reimbursements.
To enable SC leadership and administration teams to contact you directly when there is a church related matter.
How we handle your personal data
Your personal information will be treated as strictly confidential and will only be shared with members of the church as necessary in order to carry out a service or for purposes connected with the church. It will be used and processed for purposes set out in this Privacy Notice in accordance with the GPDR lawful basis of process of personal data. We will not pass any of your personal information to any organisations and/or third-parties without your expressed prior consent.
SC will retain your personal information only as long as we consider it necessary to carry out each activity. We take account of legal obligations and accounting and tax considerations as well as considering what would be reasonable for the activity concerned. SC uses a cloud-based system to store and process data and therefore data may be processed outside of the European Economic Area (EEA). We adopt the Information Commissioners approved measures and therefore ensure that personal data is held in compliance with European data protection regulations. We take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is stored and processed securely.
SC does not hold any debit or credit card details for donations/payments made via our website. All card payments are handled by our third-party payment processors, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions. All third parties that SC work with adhere to the GDPR and have their privacy policies in place.
